Long time between posts here.... might as well get back into it and see if anyone reads it.
I don't think it lasts long, but if you're quick you can see everything I've put online over the years... warts and all. There are some rubbish pictures in there for sure, but I noticed that a couple of early ones are still in my folio too - right place- right time goes a long way.
For anyone out there who wants to become a paid photographer, check it out and see what I've done and how I've progressed. I now use Flickr to get an insight into what people think about new styles and effects I've tried so there may still be some shots you'll shake your head at, but that's ok. Think hard about why you don't like them, then hopefully you won't make the same mistakes.
I joined Flickr to show images and be critiqued by people with no vested interest in me personally. There are some amazing photographers on there who don't mind giving you their honest opinion (so it should be eye opening) but seemingly unfair, uneducated, and unjustified negative comments will come too and they will cut. Just understand that photography is entirely subjective, and that they might be as qualified as your next potential wedding client, so you'll want to learn what they don't like too.
Keep learning.
Please don't think for a moment that I think I know much, I just like making people happy when they see my photos.
